Study Project 2011: Exploring New Media Concepts for Conflict Resolution

The 2011 study project is a collaboration with the Crisis Management Initiative (CMI), a Finnish independent non-profit organization that works to resolve conflict and to build sustainable peace.

CMI is now seeking to utilize more new media and new media tools to support their work. The solutions can be, for instance, new media tools supporting multi-stakeholder dialogue in conflict environments, systems and processes utilizing audio-visual communications, technics of data-visualization or social media applications.

Over the course of the spring term 2011, postgraduate students (MA, DOC) are invited to seek new media solutions with, and for, CMI.

We are now inviting students to present their interest to take part in the study project, by joining the first session. Here are the details:

Date and time: February 11th, Friday, 12.00 – 14.00
Place: Media Lab, 4th floor lecture room, Aalto University School of Art and Design, Hämeentie 135 C
